Film Creation: "Eye Tell the Tale"

Picture
In this project, my partner, Steven Giugliano, and I were assigned the task of selecting a well known piece of literature and creating a film inspired by it. Our final work, titled "Eye Tell the Tale" is inspired by "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe.

To create our film, we wrote an original script and created a story board to map out our filming plans. The program we used for movie editing was Windows Movie Maker. Movie Maker was fairly easy to use, allowing many special effects, transitions, and options for audio and visual manipulation. The audio editing program Audacity was also used as Windows Movie Maker only allows one soundtrack to be added to the movie clips, when we needed two. While making this film was meticulous because of the editing and constant need for different angles and shots, it was very fun and I think students would enjoy it a lot. There is something about creating something and displaying it to others that I think makes students proud of their work.

Our film can be found here at YouTube: Eye Tell the Tale. Enjoy!
